The Story Behind the Life’s Flower Series

At first glance, the pineapple appears to be a single tropical fruit—bold, vibrant and instantly recognisable.  Look closer, however, and a remarkable story begins to unfold.  Before a pineapple becomes one fruit, it begins as a collection of individual flowers.  As each flower matures into a small berry, they gradually fuse together, creating the distinctive pattern of interconnected hexagons that makes the pineapple so unique.

For centuries, the pineapple has symbolised luxury, warmth and hospitality. Once so rare and valuable that it was displayed as the centrepiece of lavish gatherings, it became an enduring symbol of abundance, generosity and welcome.

This remarkable transformation became the inspiration behind the Life’s Flower series.  Rather than celebrating the completed fruit, the collection honours the beauty and significance of each individual flower.  The designs feature enamelled hexagons, available in emerald green, deep blue or mother-of-pearl finishes, each offering its own interpretation of nature’s beauty while reflecting the individuality of every flower.

Some designs bring together clusters of hexagons, representing the countless moments, relationships and experiences that gradually shape our lives.  Just as every flower contributes to the pineapple’s final form, every experience contributes to the person we become.

Produced in limited editions, the Life’s Flower series reflects Monie Monie Collection’s belief that life’s greatest achievements are rarely defined by a single moment.  They are created through the accumulation of small acts of courage, kindness, growth and connection. Every flower has its own story, and together they create something extraordinary.
